Semester/Master project in collaboration with Louis Dreyfus Company - LDC
Objectives
The goal is to study decarbonization strategies for the biofuels production in the LDC assets
Profile
- Interest in renewable energy conversion systems and energy integration methods.
- Knowledge on energy systems engineering, waste heat recovery and techno-economic analysis.
- Some knowledge on Python and Lua is desirable.
Project plan
The study includes:
- Analyze the thermochemical and biological routes for upgrading the byproducts of LDC company.
- Estimate the waste heat recovery potential in those routes to produce combined heat and power.
- Assess the potential to produce net negative biodiesel and ethanol biofuels.
- Direct interaction with the enterprise and manufacturers
- Promotion of knowledge transfer from academia to industry
Observation
The project is related to the roadmaps for decarbonizing one of the world largest agri-food and biofuels production company.
