I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at IPESE, since January 2022. I have an Energy Engineering (2013) and a Master in Energy (2015) degree from the Federal University of ABC in Brazil, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zaragoza in Spain (2019). From 2020 to 2021 I worked as Assistant Professor lecturing in “Quality” and “Fundamentals of Computer Science” for the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University Centre of Defense (CUD) in Zaragoza, Spain.
My main research lines are urban energy system design and optimization, and thermoeconomic analyses focused on the cost allocation in multi-energy systems. Through my research, I aim to contribute by addressing the complex interplay between social, environmental, economical and technical factors that shape our lives in the context of the energy transition. My goal is to challenge implicit and taken-for-granted assumptions, enabling an effective energy transition.
My Research
- Modelling and optimization of energy systems.
- Decision-support tools for urban energy systems planning and operation.
- Integration of renewable energy sources (RES) and thermal energy storage (TES) solutions in energy communities.
- Socio-techno-economic and environmental analyses.
- Thermoeconomic cost allocation in multi-energy systems applications.
